Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
