Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces will on that Day be downcast, 2 Labouring (hard in the worldly life by worshipping others besides Allah), weary (in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace). 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 And within it are couches placed on high, 13 And goblets set at hand 14 And cushions set in a row, 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heaven, how it is raised? 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
