AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)! 48 And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. 49 “Therefore rush towards Allah; indeed I am from Him, a clear Herald of Warning towards you.” 50 And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him. 51 Similarly, whenever a Noble Messenger came to those before them they always said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame; 54 And admonish, for verily admonition profiteth the believers. 55 I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. 56 I do not desire from them any sustenance and I do not desire that they should feed Me. 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. 59 And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. 60
