Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
