The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
