The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
