Hizb 46
< random >
AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
