The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 who observe Zakah; 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
