۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 and would say: "Shall we, then, give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 (They say so although) he brought the Truth and confirmed the veracity of the Messengers. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
