The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in outstretched columns. 9
True are the words of God the Almighty.
