The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the Striking Calamity? 2 And what have you understood, what the event that terrifies the hearts is! 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains shall be as loosened wool. 5 Then he whose deeds shall weigh heavier in the scale 6 He shall be in a life well-pleasing. 7 And as for him whose balances are light, 8 Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit. 9 Would that you knew what hawiya his? 10 (It is) a hot blazing Fire! 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
