In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
