Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 So did they not see the sky above them – how We have made it and beautified it, and there are no cracks in it? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
