And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
