Nay, by the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens they will question 40 about the sinners. 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
