The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape peace and blessings be upon them). 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 So whither do you stray? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
