The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
