[AND] the people of Lot gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 We saved him and all of his family 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
