The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 We were told about this and so were our forefathers before us. But these are no more than fairy tales that have been recounted from ancient times." 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say: It may be that a part of that which ye would hasten on is close behind you. 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 And most surely your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they manifest. 74 There is nothing that is hidden - be it in the heaven or the earth - but is recorded in a Clear Book. 75 Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that about which they differ. 76 and, verily, it is a guidance and a grace unto all who believe [in it]. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; you are indeed upon the clear Truth. 79 You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear your call, when they turn their backs on it, 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none to hear, save those who believe Our revelations and who have surrendered. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
