Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ THE CONCRETE REALITY. 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what do you know what that indubitable event is? 3 The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false. 4 So regarding the Thamud, they were destroyed by a terrible scream. 5 And as for A’ad, they were destroyed by a severe thundering windstorm. 6 He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down! 7 So do you see any survivor among them? 8 Pharaoh likewise, and those before him, and the Subverted Cities -- they committed error, 9 and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe! 10 Verily We! when the water rose, We bare you upon the traversing ark. 11 That We might make it a remembrance for you, and the keen ear (person) may (hear and) understand it. 12 And when the trumpet shall sound one blast 13 And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,- 14 on that Day, the Event occurs. 15 and the sky will be rent asunder - for, frail will it have become on that Day; 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Take, read my Record! 19 Indeed, I knew that I should come to my reckoning' 20 So he shall be in a pleasing life 21 In a high garden 22 its fruits are near. 23 Eat and drink with benefit for that which ye sent on beforehand in days past. 24 But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! 25 And not known my account! 26 Would that death had taken us away for good. 27 "My wealth has not availed me, 28 My power hath gone from me. 29 It will be said, “Seize him, and shackle him.” 30 Then cast him into the burning fire, 31 Then, in a chain whereof the length is seventy Cubits, bind him. 32 Verily, He used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great, 33 nor were they concerned with feeding the destitute. 34 therefore he today has not here one loyal friend, 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 that none but sinners eat' 37
