O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). 20 And be not like unto those who say: we hear, whereas they hearken not. 21 ۞ Surely the vilest of animals, in Allah's sight, are the deaf, the dumb, who do not understand. 22 Had they possessed any virtue, God would certainly have made them hear. Even if God were to make them hear, they would still turn away from (the words of God). 23 O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he (SAW) calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered. 24 And be cautious against a sedition that will not smite the harmdoers alone. Know that the punishment of Allah is Stern. 25 And remember, when ye were few and reckoned feeble in the land, and were in fear lest men should extirpate you, how He gave you refuge, and strengthened you with His help, and made provision of good things for you, that haply ye might be thankful. 26 Do not betray God and His Messenger, and do not knowingly violate your trusts. 27 And know that your riches and your children are but a temptation, and that verily Allah: with Him is a mighty hire. 28
