The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Alif. Lam. Ra'. These are the verses of the Book, and a Clear Qur'an. 1 Perhaps (often) will those who disbelieve wish that they were Muslims [those who have submitted themselves to Allah's Will in Islam Islamic Monotheism, this will be on the Day of Resurrection when they will see the disbelievers going to Hell and the Muslims going to Paradise]. 2 (Muhammad), leave them alone to eat and enjoy themselves and let their desires deceive them; they will soon know (the Truth). 3 We have never destroyed a township without a definite decree having been issued; 4 [but remember that] no community can ever forestall [the end of] its term - and neither can they delay [it]. 5 And they say: "O you (Muhammad SAW) to whom the Dhikr (the Quran) has been sent down! Verily, you are a mad man. 6 Why dost thou not bring before us angels, if thou art a man of truth? 7 We do not send down the angels except with truth; and the disbelievers would not then be reprieved. 8 Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian. 9 We sent Messengers to the ancient people who lived before you. 10 And never came a Messenger to them but they did mock him. 11 This is how We cause the hearts of the guilty ones to behave. 12 They believe not therein, and already the example of the ancients hath gone forth. 13 Even if We open a door in the heavens and they ascend through it in broad daylight, 14 They would certainly say: Only our eyes have been covered over, rather we are an enchanted people. 15
