Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 As to what they did. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
