Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 To strengthen me 31 And let him share my task 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
