And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
