This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
