The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 Like murky oil, it boils within bellies 45 As does boiling water. 46 [A voice will cry], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell. 47 Then pour unto their heads the boiling water to torment them". 48 "Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble! 49 Verily this is that whereof ye were wont to doubt. 50 Surely the godfearing shall be in a station secure 51 Amid gardens and watersprings, 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit, in peace and security. 55 They shall not taste therein of death, save the first death, And He shall guard them against the chastisement of Hell -- 56 By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success. 57 Now We have made it easy by thy tongue, that haply they may remember. 58 Therefore wait; surely they are waiting. 59
