Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 and the smooth runners 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
