▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 and you are watching at that time 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 why then, if you are not revived, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
