And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 Assuredly we have been promised this aforetime, we and our fathers. Naught is this but fables of the ancients. 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 Yet they say: "When will this promise come to pass? (Tell Us) if you speak the truth." 71 Say: "It may be that some of the events which ye wish to hasten on may be (close) in your pursuit!" 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 Verily your Lord knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they reveal. 74 there is nothing hidden in heaven and on earth, but is recorded in a clear Book. 75 This Quran tells the Israelites most of the matters about which they had disputes among themselves. 76 And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81 ۞ When God's word is justly carried out against them, We will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our signs. 82
