And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 Should We equate those who do the right with those who spread corruption in the land? Should We make those who are morally integrated equal to those who seek disintegration? 28 It is a blessed Book which We have revealed for you so that you will reflect upon its verses and so the people of understanding will take heed. 29 And to Dawud (David) We gave Sulaiman (Solomon). How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 30 When there were brought to him in the evening (horses) still when standing, swift when running-- 31 And he said: Lo! I have preferred the good things (of the world) to the remembrance of my Lord; till they were taken out of sight behind the curtain. 32 "Bring them back to me," and he began to rub and stroke their shanks and necks. 33 And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned. 34 He said, "O my Lord! Forgive me, and grant me a kingdom which, (it may be), suits not another after me: for Thou art the Grantor of Bounties (without measure). 35 So We made the wind subservient unto him, setting fair by his command whithersoever he intended. 36 and all the devils who built and dived for him. 37 and others joined together by (iron) fetters. 38 We told him, "This is Our gift to you so give them away free or keep them as you like". 39 And verily, nearness to Us awaits him [in the life to come,] and the most beauteous of all goals! 40
