Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble, writers 11 Who know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
