Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 and the severally severing 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
