Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ HAVE WE NOT opened up your breast 1 And relieve you of the burden – 2 Which pressed heavily upon your back, 3 And exalted your fame? 4 For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 5 indeed, hardship is followed by ease! 6 So when you have finished (from your occupation), then stand up for Allah's worship (i.e. stand up for prayer). 7 And unto thine Lord, attend. 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
