Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
