By those that pluck out vehemently 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
