Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
