Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 until you reach your graves. 2 You shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You will be shown hell 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
