And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade; 36 and they bar them from the Way, though they themselves think that they are guided. 37 When such a person comes to Us, he will say [to his comrade], "If only you had been as far away from me as east is from west. What an evil comrade!" 38 It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allah's remembrance and His worship, etc.) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarin) in the punishment. 39 Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error? 40 And even if We take you (O Muhammad SAW) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them. 41 Or if We shew thee that wherewith We threaten them, verily We are going to prevail over them. 42 Therefore hold fast to that which has been revealed to you; surely you are on the right path. 43 It is indeed a Reminder to you and to your nation, and without doubt you shall be questioned. 44 And ask (O Muhammad SAW) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint aliha (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Beneficent (Allah)?" 45
