Creator of the heavens and the earth from nothingness, how could He have a son when He has no mate? He created all things, and has knowledge of all things. 101 That is Allah, your Lord, there is no god but He; the Creator of all things, therefore serve Him, and He has charge of all things. 102 The eyes attain Him not, but He attains the eyes; He is the All-subtle, the All-aware. 103 "Now have come to you, from your Lord, proofs (to open your eyes): if any will see, it will be for (the good of) his own soul; if any will be blind, it will be to his own (harm): I am not (here) to watch over your doings." 104 This is how We explain Our revelations in various ways -- so that they might come to the point of saying, "You have read this out to us," and that We might make it clear [that this is the truth] to those who are eager to know. 105 Follow what is divinely revealed to you from your Lord; there is none worthy of worship except Him; and turn away from the polytheists. 106 Had Allah willed, they had not been idolatrous. We have not set thee as a keeper over them, nor art thou responsible for them. 107 Abuse not those to whom they pray, apart from God, or they will abuse God in revenge without knowledge. So We have decked out fair to every nation their deeds; then to their Lord they shall return, and He will tell them what they have been doing. 108 Now they swear by God with their most solemn oaths that if a miracle were shown to them, they would indeed believe in this [divine writ]. Say: "Miracles are in the power of God alone." And for all you know, even if one should be shown to them, they would not believe 109 so long as We keep their hearts and their eyes turned [away from the truth,] even as they did not believe in it in the first instance: and [so] We shall leave them in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 110
