Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
