A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf)

206 verses, revealed in Mecca after S (Saad) before Jinns (Al-Jinn)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

۞ Alif-Lam-Mim-Sad. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 1 A book has been revealed to you, (Muhammad). You should not hesitate to convey its warning and its good advice to the believers. 2 O mankind, follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord, and do not follow other administrators, abandoning this (the Holy Qur’an); very little do you understand. 3 And many a township did We destroy – so Our punishment came to them at night or while they were sleeping at noon. 4 No plea had they, when Our terror came unto them, save that they said: Lo! We were wrong-doers. 5 Then We will surely question those to whom were the messengers sent, and We will surely question the sent ones. 6 So indeed We shall inform them with Our knowledge and We were not absent. 7 And the weighing on that Day is certain, then whosesoever balances will be heavy, those! they shall fare well. 8 Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs. 9 We settled you on the earth, and provided means of livelihood for you in it; but little are the thanks you give. 10
