We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
