The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
