Al-Hijjr 2 of 6
And assuredly We have set constellations in the heaven and made it fairseeming unto the beholders 16 And We have preserved it from every accursed devil, 17 Except one who steals a hearing and is pursued by a clear burning flame. 18 We have spread out the earth, fixed mountains thereupon and caused everything to grow to its proper weight 19 and there appointed for you livelihood, and for those you provide not for. 20 For, no single thing exists that does not have its source with Us; and nought do We bestow from on high unless it be in accordance with a measure well-defined. 21 And We let loose the winds to fertilize [plants] and We send down water from the skies and let you drink thereof: and it is not you who dispose of its source 22 And indeed it is We Who give life and it is We Who cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 And verily We know the eager among you and verily We know the laggards. 24 And surely your Lord will gather them together; surely He is Wise, Knowing. 25
