1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 who was wont to ask [me,] 'Why - art thou really one of those who believe it to be true 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). 67 They can only return to hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
