And certainly the warning came to Firon's people. 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Verily, the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hell-fire in the Hereafter). 47 On the Day whereon they shall be dragged into the Fire upon their faces, it shall be said unto them: taste the touch of the Scorching. 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 The God-conscious will find themselves in gardens and rivers, 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
