It is He who gave you ears, eyes and hearts, yet how seldom you are grateful! 78 It is He who scattered you in the earth, and to Him you shall be mustered. 79 It is He who revives and makes to die, and to Him belong the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not understand! 80 Nay, they say the like of what the ancients said: 81 They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again? 82 We were promised such things and so were our forefathers before us. All these are no more than tales of the past." 83 Ask them: "Whose is the earth and those who are in it? Tell us if you know" 84 They will surely say: God's. Say thou: will ye not then heed? 85 Say: "Who is (the) Lord of the seven heavens, and (the) Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not then fear Allah (believe in His Oneness, obey Him, believe in the Resurrection and Recompense for each and every good or bad deed)." 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 'Allah' they will reply. Say: 'How then can you be so bewitched' 89 No, We have brought the truth to them, but they are liars. 90 Never did Allah take to Himself a son, and never was there with him any (other) god-- in that case would each god have certainly taken away what he created, and some of them would certainly have overpowered others; glory be to Allah above what they describe! 91 He knows what is hidden and what is open: too high is He for the partners they attribute to Him! 92

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
