The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin, Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Clear Book. 2 It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from heaven before which their necks will remain humbled. 4 Whenever a new message comes to them from the Beneficent God, they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Do they not observe the earth, how much of every good kind We cause to grow therein? 7 Surely, in this there is a sign yet most of them do not believe. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
