Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
